Climate Resilient Strategy and Action Plan for WASAC

The main objective of this project is to support Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC) to develop a 5-to-10-year climate resilience strategy and mitigation and adaptation action plan.

Sub-objectives:

To identify and assess climate vulnerability and impacts on WASAC’s water and sanitation assets, infrastructure and operations, on the basis of a literature and document review, meetings with stakeholders, review of the asset inventories of WASAC and field visits

To develop a strategy framework containing strategies for mitigation and adaptation to ensure greater resilience in the planning, construction, operations and maintenance of drinking water supply and sanitation services provided by WASAC

To develop a climate Resilience mitigation and adaptation action plan for WASAC, containing action areas, responsibilities, tentative costs and potential sources of funds.
