Video of cooperating partners in the Philippines

03-01-2022

On December 16 and 17 2021, super-typhoon Odette/Rai struck the Philippines and showed its destructive force. Several of VEI’s partner water districts in central Visayas area have been severely affected, among which Toledo, Bayawan, Dalaguete, Balamban and Carcar Water Districts. VEI and the Cagayan de Oro Water District are contributing to our partners in the Visayas, who are working tirelessly to restore water supply and salvage what is left of their homes and operations.

Exactly ten years ago, tropical storm Sendong devastated Cagayan de Oro, the water supply of COWD and destroyed the homes of tens of thousands of families. Many of these families have obtained a house in a relocation site, but have had to wait for water supply. This video shows how the Ridge to Coast, Rain to Tap project partners are cooperating to ensure safe water supply to their homes.
